Lumini is a small lighting workshop in Copenhagen. We hand-spin solid brass shades, build them around a 7W warm-glow LED that dims true to 1%, and cut every cord to your ceiling. Designed for one room. Then made for it.

Catalogue
Each Lumini fixture starts with a room. The P-01 was made for a Copenhagen flat in 2017. The P-04 was made for a kitchen island in NYC. We didn't design a catalogue — we wrote one down.
Hand-spun brass
9-inch hand-spun shade, dimmable to 1%, with a 7W warm-glow LED rated 47,000 hours.

14-inch shade with linen cord, made-to-length up to 4m. Designed for kitchen islands.

One fixture, three rooms
Three architects we work with told us where they put the P-01. Three rooms, three reasons. We design for these rooms.
Above the table
The P-01 hangs 30 inches above a 6-foot dining table. At 4% it's almost candle-warm; at 100% it's reading-bright. The dimmer is what makes it work in both moments.
Beside the bed
Maja runs the W-02 sconce next to her bed at the lowest setting. She says it's the only fixture she's owned that doesn't wake her partner when she gets up to read.
Across the entry
Hiroshi mounted the T-01 marble lamp on the entry table of his Kyoto apartment. He keeps it on a 3-hour timer; it greets him home and turns itself off.
Most pendants ship with a 6-foot cord, no bulb, and a dimmer floor of 10%. We don't see how that becomes a fixture you live with.
